I have used Mr. Alex
Delgado of Delgado Ecological Services to assist in building
a toxic free house of 5,500 Sq Ft here in the Aspen Colorado
area. It will be completed in two months from now.
My health history
has been one of repeated exposure to toxic materials at the
work place and also at previous homes, contributing to Chronic
Lupus Erythematosus, and severe asthma.
During these several
years that I have sought Mr. Delgado's help, his information
has been instrumental in my enjoying better health by controlling
and avoiding exposure to toxic materials in my present home
and now the new one we are building. I have been able
to be at the construction site daily with no health episodes,
due to his help in selecting only safe non toxic materials in
the construction. Alex has a wealth of practical knowledge
of all building materials and processes that has been of great
use to myself, my architect, and builder.
I highly recommend
Alex Delgado as a true professional in his field, with a long
list of accomplishments, as well as being a sincere, honest,

I understand that
Alex Delgado is being considered as a consultant regarding the
building of Toxic-Free Buildings. he has asked me to dictate
a letter of recommendation concerning my relationship with him
as my consultant over the past few years.
I first met Alex
in the spring of 1991 when we began to make plans for finding
or designing a toxic-free home. The easiest and best way
to do this is to build a building from the ground up.
Other approaches that we have looked at have been to retrofit
some existing houses. The patented plan that Alex Delgado
has for building a toxic-free home has been quite useful in
making our own plans. I found Alex to be extremely helpful
in solving our own personal chemical sensitivities, not only
in regard to the building materials themselves, but other items
that we use in the home.
His professional
expertise and his pleasant personality combine to not only make
him a competent consultant, but also a person with whom it is
a pleasure to do business. Alex has not only been our
consultant, but we are pleased to state that Alex and his wife,

Mr. Alex Delgado
is the patent holder of a process to reduce toxic substances
in indoor air. resulting in better quality homes called an "Environmentally
Clean Living Unit" (ECLU). Mr. Delgado's knowledge
in this area of environmental toxins is quite extensive.
Alex worked directly
with our custom home builder, Ronald J. Mimm and with us.
Alex also met with the sub-contractors to acquaint them with
his protocol and to explain how their area of work could influence
the overall environmental integrity of the finished home.
He explained the requirements of his process, and how it applied
to the concrete, woods, insulation, glues, paints, flooring
materials, stains, roofing materials, etc.
We considered Alex's
protocol in choosing our building site, and the materials that
would be used in building our house. Alex met with us
and the builder several times during the designing of the house
and inspected the building process regularly.
Now that we have
lived in the new environment for eight months, we have realized
a higher level of sustained energy. In addition, during
the winter for the past years, we have had many serious flu-like
infections which required staying in bed for several days.
This past winter we have not had any illnesses, and my wife
has not had any laryngitis which always accompanied Christmas.
We believe the environment of our new home has given us this
relief from illness and benefited us with more daily energy.
Mr. Delgado's patented process for buildings should benefit
anyone in their home or work place environment, especially if
they are chemically sensitive, have allergies or sinus problems
or a general lack of energy.

Dear Alex,
Alex I am writing
this letter for two purposes. I want to Thank You again
for working so well with us on our ECLU home. We have
been in the house almost three years and enjoy the home and
the environment in which we live. With several members
in our family suffering from allergies, this gives them a refuge
from the world that challenges their immune system. From
the time they come home from school or work or shopping, as
is the case most of the time, they can let their systems rest
for the night until they venture into the pollen, moldy, chemical
and pollution jungles the following day.
The second reason
I wanted to write is to make this letter available to you as
a reference to others of your sincere concern and in-depth knowledge
of building an ECLU environment. I found you very knowledgeable
and eager to share this know how with us. You were consistently
on the job supervising and training the construction workers
as well as keeping us abreast of the progress. You worked
well with us and made us feel confident in your abilities.
